Tenerife is home to a variety of landscapes and sights: volcanic black-sand beaches, mountains, national parks, zoos, ancient pyramids and much more! Much of the island's natural beauty as well as some of its towns and cities are even protected by UNESCO.
The island's famous Carnival celebrations, held in February or March, is also a claim to fame. The streets and squares turn into a huge party area with parades, samba shows and lives music. The rest of the year, you can enjoy all sorts of leisure and active pursuits like golf, horseback riding, scuba diving, fishing, windsurfing, tennis, kayaking, sailing, hiking and much more!
