Learn new Spanish vocabulary

There are many ways to talk about these household-related items, regardless of the type of accommodation you choose while learning Spanish in Spain. You may want to go to the reception of the hotel and ask for some extra pillows; or if you are staying with a host family you may ask them where the bathroom is when you arrive or whether you may use the telephone. Maybe if you are staying with other students, you might want to ask them to help you find something in the shared kitchen when you first make a meal there.

So, it does not matter if you lose something in the kitchen, if you are looking for the remote control beneath the sofa, or if you need a quilt for your bed. Learning Spanish vocabulary is always a good option.

Here’s a tip: if you would like to start practicing these words before you set off for your Spanish courses, here is something that you can do for fun. Write the words out on sticky notes and attach them to items around your own house to which they correspond. Make sure that every time that you use an item or walk into a room, you repeat the name to yourself in Spanish so that you can start to drill it into your head!
