Geography | Located in north central Ecuador on the slopes of the Pichincha volcano and in the Guayllabamba river basin. |
Climate | Quito's high altitude and location practically right on top of the equator provides the city with spring-like weather all year round. Temperatures rarely fluctuate out of the mid-60's but there are two marked seasons: dry season and wet season. The wet season - or summer - is from June to September and the dry season - or winter - is the rest of the year. |
