Lucia Etxebarría
Lucia Etxebarría was born in 1966 in Valencia. Her first success was La Historia de Kurt y Courtney: Aguanta Esto, which took on the topic of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. After this she moved onto her first novel Amor, curiosidad, prozac y dudas, which went down quite well and was supported by award-winning legend Ana Maria Matute. She won a Nadal prize for her second novel, called Beatriz y los Cuerpos Celestes. She has put her hand to many talents, including script-writing, a collection of feminist essays and poetry. She has won prizes for other novels, such as De todo lo visible y lo invisible, published in 2001, which won her the Primavera Prize, as well as Un milagro en equilibrio, which won her the 53rd Planeta Prize in 2004.
