Getting to Havana
By plane
Havana's international airport - Aeropuerto Internacional José Martí - is located 15 kilometers outside of Havana. The airport has three terminals; if you are arriving from an international destination you will likely arrive to terminal 3. National and charter flights arrive to terminals 1 and 2. To get from the airport to the center of town, there's always a mass of taxis waiting just beyond the airport doors.
By bus
From Havana you can travel to anywhere in Cuba using the country's buses. Astro buses arrive to and depart from the Terminal de Ómnibus (address: corner of Av de la Independencia and Calle 19 de Mayo). Víazul buses operate out of their main station (address: Avenida 26 and Zoológico, located in the outskirts of Havan in the Nuevo Vedado neighborhood.
By train
Unlike many Caribbean nations, Cuba has a railway system that reaches most parts of the country. Trains arrive to and depart from the Estación Central de Ferrocarriles (address: corner of Av de Bélgica and Arsenal), located just southwest of Old Havana.
